Introducing Baby Thomas

The last couple months have been a blur. Kevin and I ended up purchasing a Townhome which we move into this September (assuming everything goes according to plan, is it weird that I'm scared to jinx it? haha). My third trimester of pregnancy went well up until the final month. I had lots of energy and felt like myself again. The start of my last month brought some not so fun symptoms but luckily I didn't have to experience them for too long because our little man surprised us by arriving 3 weeks early!

Thomas was born at 1:18am on July 5th weighing in at 7lbs 5oz. Imagine if he had been born on his due date (which is this Saturday, July 23rd)? He would have been a monster baby haha. He had a quick trip to the nicu after he was born but we were very fortunate and he only had to stay for 2 days.

We've been enjoying these first two weeks as a family of three. We learned the joy of cluster feeding very quickly after bringing him home but we are figuring out this whole mommy/baby/daddy thing one day at a time. Thomas is such a sweetheart and we feel so lucky that we get to call this little man ours.

We obviously have taken a million photos of Thomas already but I thought I would share a few of the photos his Auntie Alicia took of him the day he was born.

Right now I am definitely engulfed in this mommy world but I know a lot of people who read this blog wouldn't necessarily want to read only about mommy stuff. To be honest, I'm not really sure how much of Thomas I will want to share on here. I will figure out the direction I want to take my blog but in the meantime I do have some blog post ideas in mind.
