The weather was gorgeous most of the time and any patches of clouds cooling down the camp site a bit were welcomed. Sunday night we experienced some of the craziest winds any of us had ever seen. Our tent was thrown around (it took 3 of us holding it down for 30 minutes while the wind was trying to lift it up to keep it somewhat intact) but after seeing some of the wreckage in other camp sites the next morning we realized how lucky we were. It was a scary ending to an otherwise amazing week but considering other camp sites had huge trees falling into tents, we really couldn't complain.

my week off
I spent last week camping at Haynes Point in Osoyoos. I haven't been camping in years but I think I adjusted well. I don't think my rookie status was too obvious to anyone so I consider that a success. I spent as much time as I could doing absolutely nothing and it was much needed. When I wasn't being a lazy bum I was enjoying the water, eating or sleeping. The best part? It was completely acceptable camping behaviour. I think I've found my new favourite vacation.

These are some really stunning photos and I can tell you guys had a great time.
ReplyDeleteOne of the best parts of camping besides the overall relaxation factor is definitely the food. Everything tastes better when it's cooked over a campfire!
