The past few weeks have been spent working a lot and trying to prep for an upcoming camping trip. We are going to be camping for a week in Osoyoos so I have to make sure loose ends are tied up at work and everyone is prepped before I go. It's been extra busy so I've really been focused on easy hair, makeup and outfits. I almost wanted to put the blog on hold for a bit but then I remembered that all of you can probably relate to those times in our lives where we just don't have very much time.

I've been wearing a lot of maxi dresses because they are effortless but I've also been drawn to black and white. It's such a classic palette and it involves very little thinking. I've then been relying on details (like lace, leather, a pop of colour or mixing stripes like my last outfit) to add a little more interest than the black and white can do on it's own.

My hair has been in this low messy bun more often lately than I'd like to admit and I've figured out a 5 minute summer makeup routine that I'll share with you soon (hopefully on a vlog).

How do you get through those extra busy weeks?

  3. Ooh, this top & shorts combo is perfection! I love them together! I love the pulled back hair on you, too. I really need to force myself how to learn to do something - anything - to my hair. It's down, every day. I'm useless! Haha!

I'm still trying to figure out how you get through those extra busy weeks, but we all manage somehow.
