{Wearing: F21 Jacket, In Love with Fashion Dress (c/o), Lulu*s Pumps & Coach Lindsay Satchel}
I am so slow at participating in trends. I like to wait, stand back, observe and decide if the particular trend will compliment my personal style or take away from it. In the case of peplum, I just hadn't found a piece that I felt confident in. I still don't think it's very flattering for my body type but when I found this leather jacket with peplum detailing I decided it was finally time to RSVP to the peplum party. I might be the last to arrive but I'm normally embarrassingly early for parties so at least I'm fashionably late for one thing in my life.

PPS. The lovely Kelsey of the Anthology featured my workspace here. Go see it. If you're not already in love with her blog (and her)... you will be.
This dress is seriously amazing!! I love it more everytime I see it!!! Such a great find!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way with new trends! I never want to invest money into things that aren't going to stick around, so I wait to see the beginning of a new trend evolve into something real first! But agreed on this jacket - it is AMAZING!!

Hey Melissa,
ReplyDeleteLoving the leather jack look on you.
I think a shopping blog would be fun, or if you took someone shopping and did some styling for them?
Cheers,

I'm super slow at trends too. I always go for comfort first rather than trendy. But this leather peplum is definitely something I'd wear too.

That jacket looks great! I wish peplum worked for me, but (as a shirt), it doesn't - I'm too long-waisted. I haven't tried it in dress form yet.
