I am personally a fan of online shopping because I'm busy and lazy, but it can be rather tricky. Sizing and fit is often a concern since I don't exactly have the easiest body shape to shop for so I tend to stick to tops and outerwear (I avoid the hips... it's safer to just avoid trying to dress the hips). Quality has been an issue a couple of times but I also worry about shipping time. It's a little frustrating when something takes a month to be delivered. I've had so many different experiences I could write a book. This adorable blouse took a little longer than I like to be delivered and was a little big, but come on... elephants? I can't complain. This gorgeous coat arrived within a few days and fit really well.
What have your online shopping experiences been? Any stores you love or shy away from?
cute elephant blouse!

I've had great experiences with Old Navy and Zappos -- despite their "7 to 10 business days" standard shipping things almost always arrive in a day or two, and they have easy peasy returns that don't cost you a dime.
ReplyDeleteI also love stores like lululemon and Old Navy that have reviews -- I always read the reviews for quality and sizing issues. I think every online site should HAVE to have this!
Love the Elephant blouse! It's adorable. And I love ASOS, but it's true, things take foreverrrr to arrive!

I really don't do a lot of online shopping.
ReplyDeleteI want to feel the texture, try stuff on, and god forbid if you have to return...too much hassle. But sounds like I'm missing out.

ReplyDeleteOmgosh so funny! I've just been doing some ASOS shopping and I got this shirt (but in the swan print version)! It arrived today, very speedy :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about ordering online. I order online since I live far from a large city center but the waiting is the worst! I've been waiting weeks for a ring!! It's not so fun for the impulsive "I need it now buyer" like myself. This blouse is adorable, love those elephants.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason online shopping makes me feel less guilty about the $$ I spend. This is so wrong! But that elephant blouse is so right!
ReplyDeletei have never shopped online, i have a weird obsession with having to touch the texture of my clothes first, before I buy it..:/ lol. anyways, your blouse is so cute! have fun on your trip!! :)
ReplyDeleteAww so cute! Love it! Hips are tricky to show around thats for sure!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful trip!

LOVE online shopping - good experiences with Le Chateu, Old Navy, and Rickis. All places you can return in-store if an item doesn't work out.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind me asking, what size did you order in the blouse? I have never bought anything from ASOS but love the elephant blouse and I am really thinking about ordering it!
ReplyDeleteIt said the model was wearing an 8, and since I'm usually a small I ordered the 8 (the model looked small and I was actually worried about it being too small). I wish I had ordered the 6. It's a bit of a thicker material so the fact that it's a little too big makes it feel heavy.

DeleteI usually wear a small as well. Did you order the US 8? I know on the model it says UK 8 which is equivalent to a US 4. Do you mean that you wished you would have order the US size 2 or 4?
I ordered the UK 8 (US 4) which is what the model was apparently wearing. I wish I would have ordered the UK 6. It's a little difficult with ASOS because the sizing is sometimes weird. I have one skirt from them that's a UK size 6 that fits perfectly and another that's a UK size 8 that fits perfectly. The size 6 one was actually a mistake (I meant to order the 8) that ended up fitting luckily.
DeleteThanks for all your help! I went ahead and ordered the US 2. I'll let ya know how it works out! : ) Thanks again!
