I almost didn't buy this faux fur vest because I assumed I'd never wear it. Turns out that was the only time in my entire life I have ever been wrong (ha!) because I wear it all the time. I have been alternating between this vest and my blue coat trying to keep warm this winter. If I'm not careful my sister might ban me from wearing them like she did when I was in grade 5 and she banned me from wearing a headband that I had been wearing every day for a year. Since then she has pretty much left me alone and hasn't thrown any more fashion interventions... Which was really too bad when I went through my purple sweatsuit phase of '94 or my huge earring phase of '95 without any argument. Way to drop the ball sis!

ohh, I really like how you mixed the fur vest (Which normally I think I'll never wear either) with the green army jacket, kind of makes it look less J-lo and more casual. New follower here! Love the blog.
ReplyDeleteIts a good thing you decided to but this vest, it looks lovely on you!

I am the sister on the other side who has to intervene and tell my younger sister - you can't wear your headband every single day! We have a lot of fashion arguments. She doesn't care about fashion and style, and I'm constantly trying to explain that it's about self-respect and presentation. Oye. Siblings. ;)

I love the simplicity of this outfit but you are still absolutely stunning in it. And when did you dye your hair darker? WHERE have I been?! I love it!
ReplyDeleteNovember ;) I like it but I'm not sure how long I will keep it dark. I still don't feel like myself!
DeleteThat is so funny, I felt the exact same way about purchasing my fur vest.. I debated for a while and eventually bought it.. I wore it 4 times within the first week. Needless to say, chances are for taking!
ReplyDeleteLove how you layered it over the jacket!

I love the fur vest over the green jacket. Good thinking. I didn't purchase a fur vest this season bc I figured I would never wear it.

I'm the same way in the winter...I find one or two things that keep me warm and are also somehow stylish an I just wear them continuously. I think you should keep on wearing both pieces as much as possible though, they're both so stunning and easy enough to style differently every time. Love this chic but casual outfit, you look lovely!

I completely know what you mean in regards to the vest: I hesitated with getting one but now own several and layer them on top of nearly everything! I love how you wore it over this jacket- it almost looks like one piece!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great week!

Love this outfit - so simple but so cute! I felt the same way about my faux fur vest - but I wear it at LEAST once a week, and I would wear it more, but the husband tends to start making obnoxious comments when he sees it too often :)
