Normally my goal when getting dressed for the holidays is to get as overdressed as possible because it's the one time of year I can wear sequins to my parents house without getting judged. This year, thanks to the nice stomach bug that attacked me on the 23rd, I had two goals. One, to be able to stand up for longer than 2 minutes at a time and Two, be comfortable. Maxi skirts are the new sweat pants. And ladies, a little tip... if you find a maxi skirt with enough volume, like this eshakti skirt, you can wear your sweat pants under it and no one will be the wiser.... not that I would do such a thing.
That skirt is so fantastic! Love the movement and the colors.

Hey I like the sweat pants under idea! I mean it will probably keep you super warm in the winter :)
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous as always Miss Melissa!
Love that maxi! I want to start incorporating my maxis into my winter wardrobe. Mine are too tight for sweats under or I would totally be doing that.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely substitute for sequins - you look great! Hope you're feeling better.

It was lovely to see you up and about today...even if it did require you to have a 3 hour nap afterwards;-)

You look so beautiful in this outfit, I think the plain sweater was the perfect choice for that colorful fun skirt (which I love-I am such a maxi fan!) Your hair looks s pretty too in those loose curls-
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better and are eating more than dry toast over there...
Excited to see you next week so we can do some catching up!!
