I received a sample of Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula's Skin Therapy Oil about a month ago to review.
I am very particular with product reviews because I would only ever post honest comments and I would hate to have to bash a product on my blog. Luckily I was very happy with this oil and only have good things to say about it.
I have dry/sensitive skin which is the worst when it comes to trying to moisturize. Applying lotion on my legs right after shaving always results in little red bumps (you know what I'm talking about ladies), and other lotions cause my skin to react badly. As a result I have wasted a lot of money on lotions and I have 5 or 6 unused bottles in my bathroom.
I applied this oil to my legs and arms nightly and I have been really pleased with the results! This oil is also supposed to be great for scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone or wrinkles... not that I have any wrinkles to test it out on or anything...(I'm turning 29 in a few weeks... leave me alone).
My biggest concerns before trying it were that it would be greasy on my skin and that my skin wouldn't react well to it. So far my skin has been alright, and it absorbs really quickly! It also smells amazing which is an added bonus.
It's a good price ($9.00 at Walmart I believe) so trying it won't break the bank. Hopefully if you do try it you'll like it as much as I have!
Thanks for the recommendation! My skin is extremely dry and I have always had trouble with finding the right product as well. For over a year now I use products that are homemade by my aunt. No bad ingredients - everything is 100% natural. And the products are great for my skin. So, I guess I am lucky!
ReplyDeleteBut since she lives back in Europe, I can't always have her products. As soon as I spot a Walmart I'll give this oil a try.

I love the smell of Palmer's Cocoa Butter, is this oil the same scent? It kind of seems similar to Bio Oil, though cheaper.

I'll look into this- i have the worst dry legs even if I moisturize and scrub often. I'm always looking for another solution.
ReplyDeleteI love using skin oils etc...so I have to check it out. Does it have a nice smell? :)
ReplyDeleteAlison & Katherine. I'm not 100% sure if it smells like Cocoa Butter lotion (I haven't actually used the lotion!), but it definitely smells nice :)
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check this out! I'm a skin moisturization addict, so I'm always looking for a better way to get soft, hydrated skin.
