Friday night was spent walking around and enjoying the lights of Illuminate Yaletown. I had originally wanted to go to bed at 7pm thanks to my unbearably stressful and busy week, but who would turn down the opportunity to walk through the streets in the pouring rain to look at light displays? Not this girl.
.
So guess what? I decided to ignore the fact that it was cold, dark and pouring rain and still take photos anyways (that's a first for me). I also decided to ignore the fact that it was raining when I put on these boots. Thanks to all of the wear and tear they now leak which results in some wet socks and cold feet. But I love them so much I decided to put practicality aside and wear them anyways (that's not a first for me).
I hope you all had an amazing weekend. I will have to get caught up on everyone's blogs as I had decided to take the weekend off from the computer (another first for me). I have lots of stories and pictures to share but first, I'm going to go watch a movie and enjoy some chocolate mousse (yah... not a first for me).
Haha, love all the 'first for me's :) Yummy..chocolate mousse..one of my fav's.
ReplyDeleteYou look super cute despite all the rain.
Boo to the rain! I'm so over the rain and snow! Bring on the summer! :) You look super cute!

ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic in the all-neutrals! Love the scarf!
Gahhh! I wanted that bag!!! So jealous. :) Cute entry and props for braving the weather.
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit! I know what you mean about forgoing practicality, yesterday in the pouring Vancouver rain I wore my suede boots anyway because my rain boots were too heavy to walk around in! My feet ended up being soaked and my boots were stained, heh.
ReplyDeleteYou make no sense. :P You asked for Hunter rain boots for Christmas, because "they're so practical in Vancouver rain" and then wear boots that leak in the rain?! Crazy girl!! (I do love those boots tho. :P)
ReplyDeleteAwww, such cute boots, what a sin that they leak! Solution: plastic socks. I kid. But seriously, love the boots.
ReplyDeleteI am sooo in love with your bag!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I neeed to go to this Yaletown!!
We live soo close to Vancouver and we never go there!!!

If only I felt as lovely as you look in the rain!

Such a cute outfit for walking around the rain in! Was Illuminate Yaletown worth the gloomy weather?
ReplyDeleteAs for the boots, maybe rubbing mink oil into the seams will help keep the water out...?
perfect outfit for a night out!
ReplyDeleteOh love those boots and your blazer - I loved them before and love them together! Too bad about them leaking though but sounds like you got a lot of use out of them!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure your scarf is black and your boots and other accents on your outfit are brown, which is my favorite thing to do right now ... mix black and brown. Looks fab!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this outfit girl! Your hair is so super pretty!!
